THE TRUTH ABOUT WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

In spite of all the jounalistic attempts to make US President George Bush look foolish about the subject of “weapons of mass destruction” – the truth is now revealed by those who took part in their removal from Iraq before the war began!

As U.S.-led troops pressed toward Baghdad in 2003, Saddam remained defiant in a walkabout among cheering crowds in the capital. A former American overseer of Iraqi prisons says several dozen inmates who were members of Saddam Hussein’s military and intelligence forces boasted of helping transport weapons of mass destruction to Syria and Lebanon in the three months prior to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Don Bordenkircher – who served two years as national director of prison and jail operations in Iraq– told WND that about 40 prisoners he spoke with “boasted of being involved in the transport of WMD warheads to Syria. A smaller number of prisoners, he said, claimed “they knew the locations of the missile hulls buried in Iraq.” Some of the inmates, Bordenkircher said, “wanted to trade their information for a release from prison and were amenable to showing the locations.” The prisoners were members of the Iraqi military or civilians assigned to the Iraqi military, often stationed at munitions facilities, according to Bordenkircher. He said he was told the WMDs were shipped by truck into Syria, and some ended up in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. Other Iraqi military personnel, including former top Saddam associates, have made the same claim.

In early 2006, Saddam’s No. 2 Air Force officer, Georges Sada, told the New York Sun Iraq’s WMDs were moved into Syria six weeks before the war started. WND also reported in 2006 a former general and friend of Saddam who defected alleged WMDs were hidden in Syria and said the regime supported al-Qaida with intelligence, finances and munitions. Ali Ibrahim Al-Tikriti, the southern regional commander for Saddam’s militia in the late 1980s, said the regime had contingency plans established as far back as the 1980s in the event either Baghdad or Damascus was taken over. Saddam knew the U.S. eventually would come for the weapons, Al-Tikriti said at the time, and had “wanted since he took power to embarrass the West, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.” So he denied they existed and made sure they were moved into hiding, the former general said.

Among other claims, WND also reported a former U.S. federal agent and counter-terrorism specialist deployed to Iraq before the war said he waged a three-year, unsuccessful battle to get officials to search four sites where he believed the former Saddam regime buried weapons of mass destruction. Bordenkircher said four of the Iraqi prisoners who separately offered to speak to the “right” people about Saddam’s alleged transport of WMD later became involved with U.S. and Iraqi intelligence agencies. Some prisoners said the drivers, upon return from transporting the WMDs out of Iraq, discussed the movement. They said, according to Bordenkircher, the materials shipped out would return once Iraq got “a clean bill of health from the U.N., and then the program could be kick-started easily.”

Four of the prisoners – civilians attached to the Iraqi military – said they worked at the al-Muthana Chemical Industries site. They said the cargo included nitrogen mustard gas warheads for Tariq I and II missiles.

Bordenkircher said the stories of the military personnel and the civilians matched and did not contradict one another. Bordenkircher also said prisoners confirmed al-Qaida had a presence in Iraq before Operation Iraqi Freedom began, specifically in Mosul and Kirkuk. Iraqis under the command of Uday Hussein, one of Saddam Hussein’s sons, supported the al-Qaida elements in the country with training and providing safe harbor, they said.

Bordenkircher also was a senior adviser to South Vietnam’s correctional system during the war in Southeast Asia, from 1967-72. His task was to improve conditions for 80,000 civilian prisoners. The U.S. Department of Justice asked him to play a similar role in Iraq, sending him first to Baghdad’s infamous Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad in March 2006 to shut it down.

Bordenkircher previously served as Marshall County sheriff of Moundsville, W.Va., and police chief and warden of the state penitentiary at Moundsville.

PRIME MINISTER WILL RESIGN!

OLMERT WON’T RUN, WILL RESIGN IN SEPTEMBER
by Hillel Fendel

At a suddenly-called press conference, the Prime Minister announced he will not participate in his party’s primaries. He said he would resign when a new party leader is chosen, “in order to enable the new leader to form a new government.”Kadima’s primaries are to be held on September 17. Olmert began his speech, timed to coincide with the national televised evening news broadcasts, by boasting of his administration’s economic successes, such as low unemployment. He added, however, that he believes that peace with the Arabs is the most important mission he faces.

“I have never tried to boast of my achievements for political purposes,” Olmert said. “I have always had to defend myself from attacks… I am the Prime Minister, and am therefore an address for political attacks, but everyone knows that it has gone out of control. Have I made mistakes? Certainly I have, and I regret them. But I deserve to be treated as innocent until proven guilty – yet this has not happened. I am proud to live in a state where even a Prime Minister can be investigated; the police must investigate, and the Prosecution must do its job as well. The Prime Minister is not above the law – but he is in no way below it. It cannot be that minor clerks determine whether a Prime Minister continues in office. Unfortunately, this is not what is happening…”

Towards the end of his talk, Olmert said, “The campaign of mudslinging being waged these days against me raises a question that I cannot and do not want to avoid: What is more important – personal justice for me, or the interests of the State?” He answered categorically that the latter take precedence, and therefore: “I have decided not to take part in the Kadima primaries, nor will I intervene in them. When a new party leader is chosen, I will resign in order to enable him/her to form a new government.”

“We have a wonderful state,” Olmert concluded, “which I love with all my being. I thank you for the opportunity you have given me to act on your behalf.” Unsurprisingly, Olmert did not entertain reporters’ questions, and quickly left the room.

The media event was announced only two and a quarter hours before its scheduled starting time, and was held in Olmert’s official residence in Jerusalem. No further details were provided, and even some of the Prime Minister’s close aides said beforehand that they did not know what Olmert planned to say.

Olmert summed up his term in office while decrying the “constant attacks” he has suffered from “self-appointed warriors for justice… I will not interfere in the internal elections. I will accept their results and give them my blessings.

“As a citizen of a democratic state I always believed that once a Prime Minister is elected in Israel, even those who voted against him in the ballot box must wish for him to succeed,” Olmert said. “However, almost from my first day in the Prime Minister’s Office, I have had to fight off wicked attacks even as I dealt with matters vital for the state’s security.”

“I have decided not to run in the primaries, and I will not interfere in the internal elections. I will accept their results and give them my blessings,” he said.

Speculation had been rife that Olmert would in fact announce that he would not run in the upcoming Kadima party primaries. However, it had also been rumored that Olmert planned to step down from office, either by resigning, suspending himself, or possibly by announcing an indefinite vacation. Olmert’s close friend Vice Premier Chaim Ramon had intimated that the last option was the most likely, according to the NFC Hebrew news site.

Olmert is currently under four different police investigations: The Talansky cash envelopes, the Cremeiux St. house, the double-billing for his trip abroad, and his alleged intervention in an Investment Center decision on behalf of a close friend. The police have asked that Olmert dedicate two or more hours each week to these investigations. The Prime Minister has not yet responded to the request.

The political situation in light of the suspicions against Olmert is complex. Under pressure from the Labor Party to quit in light of the revelations that he had received cash-filled envelopes from New York philanthropist Moshe Talansky, Olmert agreed several weeks ago to hold primaries in his Kadima party in September – a far cry from the immediate resignation Labor appeared to be demanding. Ironically, and in total defeat of Labor’s intentions, Olmert never said – until now – that he would not take part in the primaries.

The current front-runners for Kadima party leader are Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Transportation Minister Sha’ul Mofaz. The primaries winner will then be granted a chance to form Israel’s next government. If he or she does not succeed within 42 days, elections must be held 90 days later – somewhere around the end of January. Olmert will remain the Prime Minister in the duration.

It is known that Olmert favors Mofaz, and had looked into the possibility of installing Mofaz as Acting Prime Minister in place of Livni. This would have paved the way for Olmert to resign and Mofaz to assume the premiership, if only on a temporary basis, even before the primaries. However, such a move requires the approval of the Knesset, and was considered an unlikely scenario.

ISRAELI PRESIDENT -DIVIDE JERUSALEM!

PRESIDENT SHIMON PERES PROMOTES DIVISION OF JERUSALEM
by Hillel Fendel

President Shimon Peres, following Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Vice Prime Minister Chaim Ramon, has become the latest mainstream politician to intimate that Jerusalem must be divided.

Peres paid a condolence call this morning (Tuesday) to the family of David Shriki, a policeman who died of wounds he suffered in a Palestinian terrorist attack in Jerusalem earlier this month. Shriki, 20, lived with his family in Rishon LeTzion.

Peres said that there must be a separation between the Arabs of Jerusalem and the Jews, and that it must be in the form of a wall. Peres emphasized that the problem is also one of education. He said that Arab doctors are a common sight in Israel, yet Jews are not afraid to go under their knife. “This shows,” Voice of Israel reported that Peres said, “that when we reach a certain level of education, the relations between the two sides change.”

President Peres did not mention the suicide-slaughter of 21 Israelis aboard a #2 bus from the Western Wall in August 2003, which was perpetrated by a Moslem teacher and religious leader from Hevron. Nor did he mention the massacre of 20 Jews two months later in the Maxim Restaurant in Haifa commited by a female terrorist lawyer.

“Jerusalem has become a security problem of late,” Peres said. “We have to make both a wall and a bridge in Jerusalem. We have to ensure separation and also let them live differently, otherwise it will be like a pressure cooker that is liable to explode. Without offering a carrot, there is no value to using a stick; sticks alone cannot educate. In the meanwhile, they are fortifying themselves, and Hamas is taking over the street, instilling fear on the Arab street in Jerusalem. It is not simple to solve this problem, and it can take time to find the right solution.”

OLMERT SEPARATION AS THE WAY TO AGREEMENT WITH FATAH
Prime Minister Olmert told a Knesset committee the day before that living with such a large number of Arabs in the capital means more terrorist attacks – implying that the reduction of terrorism is dependent upon removing them from the city’s borders. “Whoever thinks we can live with 270,000 Arabs in Jerusalem must take into account that there will be more bulldozers, more tractors, and more cars carrying out attacks,” the Prime Minister said.

On Sunday of this week, Olmert’s friend Vice Premier Chaim Ramon called for the detaching of eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods such as Tzur Baher and Jabel Mukaber – homes to the two tractor/bulldozer terrorists – from Jewish Jerusalem.

Arab construction in Jerusalem flourished under Olmert’s tenure as Mayor of Jerusalem, charges WorldNetDaily’s Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein. He writes that the police and the Jerusalem municipality generally hesitated to act against illegal Arab construction, and thus left a vacuum into which the PA’s Fatah stepped (Peres said it was Hamas that reigns in Jerusalem). Given Olmert’s desire to conclude a peace agreement as quickly as possible with Fatah, which demands parts of Jerusalem as its own, Klein charges that the recent attacks in Jerusalem serve Olmert’s purposes in encouraging a public sense that Jerusalem must be divided.

“Things are reversible,” Klein concludes. “Israeli forces can go into troubled eastern Jerusalem hotspots and wipe out the terrorist infrastructure there if they so desired. Israel can allow Jews to build communities in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhoods that were purchased for that very purpose. Jerusalem does not need to be divided.”

ASSASSIN FINALLY CONVICTED!

MASTERMIND OF ZE’EVI ASSASSINATION CONVICTED
by Hillel Fendel

The Jerusalem District Court convicted Majdi Rahima Rimawi on Tuesday morning of masterminding the October, 2001 terrorist murder of Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze’evi.

Ze’evi, known as Gandhi, was murdered in what was then the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Jerusalem’s French Hill neighborhood. He had been breakfasting with his wife in the hotel dining room, told her that he saw an Arab constantly eyeing him, and then headed for his room to conduct a phone interview with Arutz-7’s Hebrew radio newsmagazine. As he was about to open the door, two terrorists of the PFLP (Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine) shot him in the head, and then escaped via a staircase at the end of the corridor.
Many Palestinian Authority Arabs in Judea and Samaria, upon hearing the news of Gandhi’s death, celebrated in the streets, just as they had done a month earlier after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

JUSTICE IS SERVED
Rimawi, in addition to his conviction for dispatching the above terrorists, was responsible for a series of other attacks in Israel, including car bombs and shoooting attacks. Two of Gandhis murderers have been sentenced to life in prison for the crime, and another terrorist was convicted of being their accomplice.

LOVER OF THE LAND
Rehavam Ze’evi, an IDF general, was known as a patriotic lover of the Land of Israel, especially Hevron, and was a leading proponent of transfer of Arabs. Born in Jerusalem in 1926, he was a sixth-generation Jerusalemite on his mother’s side. He and his wife Yael had five children, all of whom they gave names with modern Jewish-historic significance: Yiftach Palmach, Sayar Binyamin, Massada, Tse’elah, and Aravah. The Ze’evi’s had 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild at the time of his death.

Ze’evi served in the IDF from its founding in 1948, headed the Central Command beginning in 1968, and retired from the army with the rank of Maj.-Gen. He was appointed to be Prime Minister Rabin’s advisor on terrorism and intelligence in 1974, and carried out many defense missions in various countries. In 1988, Gandi was elected to the Knesset as head of the Moledet Party that he founded. He served as Minister Without Portfolio in the Shamir government for about a year in the early 90’s, and became Tourism Minister in the first Sharon government.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The person who found the slain body of Tourism Minister Rehavam Ze’evi outside of his hotel room was our own Radio Bible Teacher, Dr. David Hocking. His tour group were staying in that hotel at the time. David spoke with scores of journalists from around the world at that time, and was given time on international radio broadcasts to speak about God’s everlasting covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.)

SADDLEBACK HOSTS McCAIN AND OBAMA!

JOINT APPEARANCE OF OBAMA AND McCAIN AT SADDLEBACK CHURCH’S CIVIC FORUM COULD SPELL DISASTER FOR McCAIN’S CAMPAIGN

Senator John McCain about three weeks to come up with some kind of global “peace” plan if he wants to keep up with the personal and political agendas that will be swirling around him at the “Civic Forum On Leadership and Compassion” held at Saddleback Church on August 16th.

His political opponent, Senator Obama, highlighted his political goals for the world in a speech from Germany where his campaign for the President of the United States is in full swing. (No one seems to be questioning why a Presidential nominee would be campaigning in the European Union and the Middle East where he is promoting his political ideas to people who can’t even vote in the US elections!)

Senator Obama’s campaign tour of the world could have something to do with his support of the Global Poverty Act which has been passed by the US House of Representatives and is making its way to the Senate for approval. This act will provide $845 billion dollars towards abolishing world poverty. This astronomical amount of money will be provided by the American taxpayers. This is just the kind of government “gift” that could possibly help support Rick Warren’s P.E.A.C.E. Plan. Rick Warren’s church started it’s own version of a global agenda to abolish poverty three years ago. It goes without saying that since Warren has already stressed that he and Obama are friends and Obama has supported other Saddleback Church agendas in the past, it makes sense that the two powerful men from different communities, one political and the other spiritual, would start to work together on helping each other reach common goals.

As this Forum shapes up, Faith In Public Life, the organization who is co-sponsoring the forum event with Saddleback Church is already being shunted to the sidelines by Rick Warren in press interviews. Rick said in an interview about the event, “It’s at our church; and so it’s not their event, it’s our event.” Saddleback Church’s website on the forum does not even mention Faith In Public Life as co-sponsor and it is not clear about previous forums. It lists a forum for holocaust survivors as being the previous “Civil Forum” when in fact the previous Faith In Public Life forum is clearly noted on their website and was held at Messiah College in Pennsylvania last spring. Faith In Public Life’s website also clearly states that they are co-sponsoring the event alongside Saddleback Church and the site features a blog post on why they are sponsoring it.

Clearly Senator John McCain is going to be needing to do some serious homework if he plans on keeping up with these men. Whether he should or not is another important question!

For Bible believers, this is another “step” in the direction of compromise with Biblical teaching and association with non-believers in the work of churches – II Corinthians 6:14-18 clearly teaches that we are not to be “unequally yoked” with unbelievers! Where does the Great Commission fit into these “global peace plans”? Are we supposed to be preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and planting churches and training pastoral leaders for these churches? May God give us all wisdom.

McCAIN WILL MOVE EMBASSY!

McCAIN WILL MOVE US EMBASSY TO JERUSALEM

US Republican presidential candidate John McCain told CNN on Friday that if he wins the upcoming election in November, one of his first acts will be to move the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

McCain’s remarks were seen as a shot at his opponent Democratic candidate Barack Obama’s own waffling on the future status of Jerusalem, and a confirmation of McCain’s personal view that Jerusalem should remain the undivided capital of the Jewish state.

However, McCain has also said that he will not impose his personal view on negotiations, and that future control of Jerusalem will be a subject of final status peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

The US Congress in 1995 overwhelmingly passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act, officially recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and obligating the administration to relocate the US Embassy there by 1999.

But President George W. Bush and former President Bill Clinton repeatedly made use of a six-month temporary escape clause to avoid making a move that they insisted would predetermine the outcome of Israeli-Arab peace talks and harm US interests in other parts of the Middle East.

FOLKS WHO WENT TO HEAVEN TODAY!

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

This has been quite a week here at HOPE for TODAY! Our long-time friend and Chief Financial Officer, Glenn Harmonson, has been hospitalized and diagnosed with acute leukemia and bone marrow deficiencies. He has been accepted at CITY of HOPE for treatment. His absence is a giant hole in the work of HOPE for TODAY! We pray for his soon healing and recovery!

Also, our dear friend and board member of GRACE BIBLE MISSION, Al Enderle, had colon cancer surgery this past week. Praise God that after removing about 10 inches of his colon and the tumor about which they were so concerned, and another one they found – both were NOT malignant – for which we praise the Lord – we pray for Al’s soon recovery. He is a mighty servant of the Lord and a constant witness to the wonderful salvation we have from our blessed Lord Yeshua.

Today we learned of the tragic accident on the 91 freeway that took the life of Pastor Greg Laurie’s son, Christopher. He is survived by his mother and dad, of course, but also his precious wife and daughter, and the little girl growing in his wife’s womb and due in November. These things are difficult to understand in terms of God’s purpose and timing! We rejoice that Christopher is with the LORD!!

Today was also a sad day (as well as a rejoicing day!) as we learned that David’s Assistant at HOPE for TODAY, Beth Williams, experienced the loss of her father, Cy Norris (98 years of age), but the gain of heaven’s crowd of witnesses! Cy has been helping us in the USA offices each week for some time, and we are going to miss his fellowship and his wonderful prayers at our volunteer/staff prayer meetings each week! Beth’s sister, Carol, has given loving care to their father for many years now after the homegoing of Cy’s wife, Winnie Norris, a few years ago. There is also a sweet granddaughter who will miss her grandpa very much! Kristin is a lovely girl who manifests a heart for the Lord in every way, but, of course, she and her mother and her aunt will miss Cy’s presence in the home. Cy was born in Britain, but came to British Columbia early and was instrumental in the development of a Christian camp years ago. Cy was also a graduate of Prarie Bible Institute, and loved the Word of God, and enjoyed times of discussing difficult Bible passages. He also had a great love for the great hymns of the church.

Yes, some folks went to heaven today, not only in the sphere of HOPE for TODAY’s ministry, but all around the world as multitudes of believers passed from this earthly life to the glory of heaven and being in the presence of our blessed Lord – and that is where there is “fullness of joy” and “pleasures” at the Lord’s right hand (Psalm 16:11). To God be ALL the glory and praise!

DANGER OF CONTEMPLATIVE SPIRITUALITY

Thursday, July 24th, 2008

ARTICLE from LIGHTHOUSE TRAILS

Contemplative/emerging spirituality is on the rise. And unfortunately, Christian leaders are helping to make this a reality. Popular and often trusted Christian speakers are sharing platforms with those who strongly promote un-biblical spiritual persuasions, and when they are challenged for doing so, they say it must be done in order to further the Gospel insisting that these differences are minor and insignificant. Other trusted leaders are placing their endorsements on the books of contemplative/emerging figures, and when challenged, they simply flash their educational credentials and ignore the concerns.

Slowly (and sometimes not so slowly), these Christian leaders are changing. Putting financial security, popularity, fear of loss, and personal pride above doing what is right without compromise, they have begun to take on the characteristics of those they have endorsed, promoted, and stood next to.

Where once many of them preached the unadulterated Word of God, now they speak of community, unity, mystical experience, and a kingdom they call God’s that in actuality is a kingdom of this world. They say the Gospel cannot be effective unless everyone is willing to work together, and when they say everyone, they mean everyone.

In contrast, the apostle Paul preached the Gospel to all who would listen, but when it came to false doctrines, he made it very clear where he stood. If these leaders continue on their present path, the day may soon come when such a blending and weakening has occurred that the gospel they preach will be no different than the gospel of this world, which is no gospel at all.

GROUP WARNS OBAMA AGAINST DIVIDING JERUSALM
Thursday, July 24, 2008 Israel Today Staff

While visiting US presidential hopeful Barack Obama was meeting with top Israeli leaders on Wednesday, representatives of leading Israeli and American Jewish organizations came together under the banner of the Coalition for a United Jerusalem to demand that the candidate reaffirm his initial support for a unified Jerusalem under Israeli control.

In a June address to the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Obama declared to thunderous applause that “Jerusalem would remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided.”

In subsequent interviews, Obama backtracked, claiming that he had only meant Jerusalem should never again be divided by barbed wire, even if it is the capital of two states.

The Coalition for a United Jerusalem pointed in its press release to Tuesday’s bulldozer terrorist attack just a block off Obama’s hotel on King David Street, insisting that if the city is divided such violence will become far more prevalent.

“The lack of clarity on the indivisibility of Jerusalem as the eternal and exclusive capital of the Jewish State of Israel only encourages such attacks,” said Harvey Schwartz, chairman of the American Israeli Action Coalition.

Rabbi Aaron Tirschwell of the Worldwide Young Israel Movement added that “Tuesday’s horrific terrorist attack in the heart of Jerusalem will seem small in comparison to what would happen if Palestinians were given free rein in a divided Jerusalem.”

The Coalition for a United Jerusalem urged Obama to consider the disastrous consequences of previous Israeli withdrawals from southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip before pressuring Israel to surrender any part of its capital.

But it was his revised position on the future of Jerusalem that Obama upheld when meeting with Palestinian leaders on Wednesday afternoon, reassuring his hosts in Ramallah that he had never intended to support Israel’s position that Jerusalem remain its eternal, undivided capital.

“Obama assured us there was a misunderstanding when he said he supports the Israelis’ rights to hold on to Jerusalem. He told us he corrected this right away and that he supports a negotiated settlement that will give the Palestinians territory,” an aide to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas told WorldNetDaily following the talks.

Obama also confirmed his commitment to the two-state solution that has thus far proved just shy of impossible to implement. The candidate insisted there is no time to waste coming up with another solution, even if the two-state solution in its current form is critically flawed.

Said Obama in an interview with Israel’s Ha’aretz newspaper: “The next US administration should help the parties build on the progress that has been made thus far, and continue to work toward the goal of two states living side by side in peace and security.”

Obama wrapped up his visit to Israel with a late-night visit to the Western Wall, where he said prayers and then told gathered supporters and curious onlookers that the US will always remain Israel’s truest friend and will always look out for the security of the Jewish state.

OPEN LETTER TO OBAMA!

AN OPEN LETTER TO BARACK OBAMA
by David Ha’ivri

We know who you are and who your friends are. Barack Obama, why don’t you just go home?

Barack, your visit here (ISRAEL) is just a waste of time; you’re not wanted or needed here. We’ll do just fine without you and you’ll probably do better without us, too. Don’t come around here making as if you’re looking out for the good of Israel. We know who you are and who your friends are. Zigzagging back and forth about dividing or un-dividing Jerusalem won’t clear your history.

I’m not talking about your middle name. Any good Christian might have the middle name Hussein (although I can’t think of any others). We won’t hold that against you. There are worse things than having an Arab name; like for instance being supported by a known Jew-hater, bigot Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, who among other statements has accused the Jews of bringing on the Holocaust through cooperation with Hitler – “They helped him get the Third Reich on the road.” But, of course, it would be wrong to hold that against you, because you haven’t been rallying for his support (recently).

We can’t really blame you for the beliefs of Father Michael Pfleger, who embraces Black Liberation Theology, which claims that Jesus was Black – so the Jews have no claim to Israel and, therefore, the Muslims are the rightful heirs of the Holy Land. Those beliefs have nothing to do with you, aside from the fact that you have coined the man your “moral compass.” But one must admit that Pfleger is not your only mentor and also is not alone in looking up to Farrakhan.

Your spiritual mentor is Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who has praised Jimmy Carter for denouncing Zionism. Last year, the Trumpet Newsmagazine of Chicago’s Trinity United Church of Christ gave the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Trumpeter Award to Louis Farrakhan and said that he is a man who “truly epitomized greatness.” You are a member of that Church and Jeremiah Wright is its leader and your spiritual adviser.

Now you won’t go so far as to criticize Jimmy Carter, not even for meeting with the heads of Hamas, because, to paraphrase your words, “It’s not your place to criticize him.” That is, not until the next day, when you were seeking the support of Jewish leaders. Then you must have found a new place for criticism. Aren’t the Jews great for giving a guy a new vision and a sense of self-confidence? Is that what you meant by, “It’s time for change”?

Barack Hussein, we won’t hold it against you. But can you tell us what you mean by supporting a Palestinian State alongside Israel? Do you mean a replay of the ethnic cleansing of Jews from Gaza three years ago? Do you foresee soldiers carrying men, women and children away from their homes, which are to be demolished by bulldozers? Palestinian rule brought on the endless rocket fire on Sderot and the thousands of Jewish refugees who have yet to find permanent homes or means of a steady income. Is that your vision of a new hope that Farakkhan’s Final Call website praises you for?

Barack Hussein, why don’t you just go home? Your visit to Israel this week is not because you’re looking out for the well-being of Israel and the Jewish people. You’re coming to Israel looking for the Jewish vote; your goal is to speak with the Jewish American voters through the press coverage of this tour to the Holy Land. You want them to think that you took the time off from your busy campaign to further peace in the Middle East. Your hope is that enough stupid Jews will misread the message and take it as an act of support for Israel.

Don’t use us or our land as a photo-op to transmit a twisted call for support to Jewish-American voters. You don’t fool us. We know who you and your friends are.

Barack Hussein, why don’t you just go home? But on the way out, remember the words you heard here from the proud Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria: “This is our land!” We are back after two thousand years of forced exile and we are not about to leave it again!
