Thanks to all of you who joined in giving us your greetings for our 50th wedding anniversary! It hardly seems possible that 50 years of marriage have gone by – it goes by fast when you are having “fun”!
God has been so good to us all these years! Our three children, Brent, Brenda, and Matthew – are married and have their children (our grandchildren!) – Cole, Tayler, Brooklyn, & Harlow – the children of Brent and Tahia; Brenda’s husband passed away with a brain cancer a few years ago, and she has one baby in heaven! Matt & Kim have four children – Caleb, Rachel, Brookie, and the latest one – Brock David (three months old).
Many of you have been praying for my brother, “Dr. Don Hocking and his wife Betty” – they have been having numerous health difficulties since return home from the Republic of Cameroon in Central Africa. They now reside at Quaker Gardens, an adult facilities in Stanton, California. Don has recently had major surgery on his back. They certainly need your prayers at this time.
On September 3 (Labor Day), David leaves with 74 people on EL AL Airlines, non-stop from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv, Israel. The group will return on September 19! Your prayers are needed and desired!
On Wednesday night, September 26, David will begin again his Radio Bible Studies – beginning a new series entitled “GREAT PROPHECIES OF THE BIBLE” – the studies will be held in the lovely facilities of Ocean Hills Community Church of San Juan Capistrano, CA – begins promptly at 7:00 PM and concludes at 8:30 PM. The first subject is “THE DESTINY OF ISRAEL.” Plan to be with us every Wednesday night!
David’s fall schedule is quite heavy, involving a great deal of travel – please pray earnestly for these meetings – for the power of the Holy Spirit and many commitments to Jesus Christ our Lord!
